MOU between University of Burdwan and Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC)
To strengthen industry—academia linkage by instituting ONGC Scholarships in Burdwan University for rewarding, encouraging
and assisting meritorious students for higher studies in the petroleum upstream related education. The scholarships will be called
“ONGC Scholarships” and the scholarship holders will be called as “ONGC Scholars”.
MOU between University of Burdwan and Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, Netherlands
Both institutions are committed to explore the possibilities for cooperation. For this purpose student and staff exchanges
will be organized. Teachers and scientists will be stimulated to participate in staff exchanges and to explore possibilities for
cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The two institutions will explore ways in which funding can be obtained for joint
cooperative activities.
MOU between University of Burdwan and The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh
The University of Burdwan and the University of Dhaka establish hereby signed a formal understanding of co-operation and
friendship which is intended to further the academic objectives of each Institution and to further develop academic co-operation,

MOU between University of Burdwan and SAC-ISRO
Scope of the MoU involves site identification, site preparation and Installation of the IRNSS receiver. IRNSS Navigation Data
collection and analysis to be carried out on regular basis for verification and for other mutually agreed topics of research for
both parties. Depending upon the requirement certain scientific experiments can be planned and executed within overall MoU
umbrella. With mutual consent, both the Parties can extend the period of data collection and observation locations (sites).

MOU between University of Burdwan and Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata
The University strongly encourages the practice of developing written Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) for collaborations
with other Universities / Institutions so that expectations are explicit between the parties at an early stage. Clear
expectations about the responsibilities of both parties are essential to a successful relationship.
MOU between University of Burdwan and University of Wollongong
MOU was signed between the University of Burdwan and the University of Wollongong on 22.01.2013 at the
conference room of Peerless Inn, Kolkata. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Burdwan University elaborated on the possible fields of research collaboration between the two universities.
Prof Paul Sharrad, on behalf of the University of Wollongong, spoke of new initiatives and collaborative
engagements of these two universities. This would definitely lead to more research activities on diverse
fields.
MOU between University of Burdwan and Botanical Survey Of India
(BSI)
MOU was signed between the University of Burdwan and Botanical Survey of India on 02.08.2014 at the
campus of the University of Burdwan. Botanical Survey of India, the nodal research organization supported by
Ministry of Environment and Forests, always plays a significant role in fulfilling nation’s commitment to
various International conventions like Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), Convention on International
trade in International Endangered Species of wild Flora and Fauna (CITES), etc. It has ample expertise in
exploring, indentifying, creating inventories and documenting the rich diversity of plant resources of the
country with particular reference to protected areas and fragile ecosystems.
Visit of Consul General of France to Burdwan University
Fabrice Etienne, the consul general of France, along with Sabrina Royer, attaché, visited Burdwan
University on 31-07-2014 to explore collaboration in higher education, including the exchange of teachers
and scholars, between the French universities and Burdwan University. They interacted with the Vice-Chancellor
of Burdwan University and later on visited University Institute of Technology (UIT),
Science Museum and Meghnad Saha Planetarium located around Golapbag campus.
